My Ideal Client

As a mom, you experience the seemingly never-ending roller coaster of ups and downs and it’s A LOT, sometimes too much. You may be fed up with feeling utterly lost from the person you used to be before you became a mom, feeling disconnected from your partner and your friendships or conflicted, and filled with anxiety. You might not even remember a time when things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to discover yourself again.

My Approach to Helping

Clients come to me looking for a therapist who is in it, because therapy should be a place where you feel seen and understood. Sessions with me don't always look the same. We tailor each session to your needs so that together, we nurture and empower you to move towards being the mom you have always known you could be.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a certified anxiety treatment professional and mother of two, I believe that your anxiety is telling you something. Your body is telling you something. Something must change. You don’t have to continue to suffer with the constant worry, and you don’t have to do it alone. Contact me today for a free 30-minute consultation. I can’t wait to hear from you.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

I work from a cognitive behavioral model to challenge unhelpful patterns and create new ways of coping with the challenges you are facing.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

Trained in part one and part two ACT training to work with our thoughts, how we respond to the situations and elements of our lives that we may not be able to change.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

By helping clients develop a mindfulness practice, I assist in creating sustainable and lasting change grounded in awareness.

  • EMDR External link

In working with clients that have experienced trauma that is impacting their lives, I will utilize EMDR as an intervention to allow reprocessing. I have completed Part I & II EMDRIA EMDR trainings.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Postpartum External link

My approach to therapy with expecting and new moms comes from a place of compassion and understanding: knowing that you don’t have to lose yourself when you become a mother; you can move through motherhood with confidence meeting the challenges as they come.

  • Parenting External link

Mom-ing is hard. That’s the truth. It’s the anxious spiraling thoughts, the heart pounding deep pit in your stomach and the constant need to control all the things that are constantly taking from you. Working with a therapist can really help you to identify the areas that are creating your anxiety, and give you tools and strategies to manage it effectively.

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety doesn't have to be what drives you to get sh*t done. You will learn what really matters to you and put your energy into the places where it counts. We’ll find the areas that bring healthy motivation for you and identify the patterns and fuel that are not serving you.
