My approach is strength-based, collaborative, empowering. , and solution focused. My primary goal is to assist you with finding your own personal power so when we part you continue to walk on with a sense of empowerment. I will be an active participant in the therapeutic relationship as we will work together to identify the barriers that keep you stuck and from living a happy and meaningful life. Once we have discovered what those barriers are, I will bring my expertise to the counseling process and assist you with exploring new perspectives, behaviors and strategies to address your difficulties. I use both traditional and non-traditional therapeutic approaches including: EMDR, Person Centered/Rogerian, Solution Focus, Narrative, Cognitive and Mindfulness Therapy, as well as Non-Traditional practices such as Pranic Healing, Pranic Psychotherapy and Law of Attraction. For those who have challenges with traveling to the office I do offer phone counseling.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Gambling Addictions Counselor (CGAC). My experience includes working with adults , elders, adolescents and veterans with a wide range of experiences including addictions, drug/alcohol/gambling, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, stress, anger management, phobias, depression, self-esteem, sexual abuse, co-dependency, borderline personality disorders, bipolar disorders, grief and loss, physical and mental disabilities, energy healing, spirituality. I have worked in a number of settings including addictions, homeless center, transitional housing, half-way house, detention center, and a crisis center.

    I am a Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor II and a National Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor II. I have worked extensively with the Oregon Gambling Helpline, Oregon Gambling Outpatient Treatment, and Oregon Gear Phone Counseling Program.

    Self-esteem is essential for a sense of well-being. I have worked extensively with clients dealing with low self-esteem. I utilized various resources and a strength-based approach to assist clients with taking steps to increase their self-esteem.

    I am certified EMDR therapist with specialized training and extensive experience in working with trauma and PTSD. I utilize various resources in addition to EMDR to help deal with PTSD symptoms.

    Who doesn't experience anxiety to some degree? However, when it becomes out of balance and causing disruption in one’s ability to function then taking steps to make adjustments becomes necessary. I provide skills and techniques on how to cope and get things back in balance so that functioning becomes manageable and a greater well-being is attained.

    Depression can be heavy and debilitating slowing you down and inhibiting you from being productive and engaging. There are ways to move out of depression. I can assist with identifying where the drain is stemming from and provide skills and insights on how to move forward and lift your spirits.
