My Approach

I approach psychological work as a holistic journey to be navigated as a team. Together, you and I will name and feel into what is happening, design the best ways to navigate the territory, and discover the natural buoyancy of your deepest, most clear, calm, knowing and wise, whole Self along the way. I absolutely believe that it is through uncovering who we really, really are, beyond the woundings of ancestry and childhood, and cultivating the audacity to radically accept what we discover, that the expression of our unique aliveness can surface. I am trained to hold this practice through the lens of the soma (body) and mind in an integrated (whole-system) psychotherapeutic practice. I often integrate neuroscience, meditation/centering practices and psychology to find what works best for each individual.

My Background

I have a Masters degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have worked with adolescents in a residential treatment facility teaching emotional regulation skills through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have been trained in the following psychotherapeutic methods:“Re-Creation of the Self” (R-CS), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Sensory Experiencing (SE) and Hakomi. My focuses in Psychological practice include: gender creative youth and their families, partnership, family dynamics, developmental, acute, and inter-generational trauma, the neurobiology of trauma and re-integration, post-traumatic stress, allyship with communities who face discrimination and prejudice, adolescence and rights of passage into adulthood, creating sacred personal ritual and yogic practice for emotional intelligence, balance, awareness, wellness and healing.
