Genevieve Payne, LMFT

Genevieve Payne, LMFT

Licensed Marriage Family Therapist

I'm a therapist with a real passion for working with women during difficult transitions such as going to college, experiencing heartbreak, becoming pregnant, learning how to be a parent, and separation and divorce. During these times we discover reserves of inner strength that we never knew we had.

I will work with you in a safe and collaborative way to determine your goals for therapy. I'll also invite you to slow down and turn your attention inward, so you can notice thoughts and feelings that emerge and ultimately learn how to make more choices in the moment rather than simply reacting. I'll help you explore patterns of relating to others, without judgment, so you can decide which parts of your identity feel right and which no longer serve you. You will develop new skills that allow you to feel more at peace, safer in your body, and more conscious of your internal thoughts and feelings. Let's get started!

I have been practicing since 2009 and hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, major life transitions, trauma, and pregnancy, postpartum and parenting issues. I treat a variety of traumas including acute trauma, childhood or attachment trauma, sexual trauma, and medical trauma.
