My Approach

I use mindfulness as a tool to explore present experience, gain insights about how it is organized, and understand how this has served you in life. I assist in integrating new and old experiences to expand your lens of truth and possibility while challenging core limiting beliefs. Instead of talking about and trying to understand struggles through the use of the cognitive functions alone, we access the wisdom of your body in the moment to inform our work and pursue experience that brings expansion and connection. We aim to weave our work into life outside the office in a gentle, supportive, safe, and affirming way.

My Background

I received my Master's in Social Work and B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2011 and 2005, respectively. I currently work at Reed College as a counselor and I previously held the positions of Case Manager and Mental Health Educator at the University of California Riverside. Prior to this I was a counselor in community health centers in Washington State, and a Field Director for a mental health non-profit in Thailand. This work has included providing counseling for people from many walks of life, leading workshops on mindfulness, wellness, and psychoeducation, and program and curriculum development on mental health and trauma-informed care.
