The fact that you are visiting this page implies that you have been through and are going through some very difficult, confusing, and painful life experiences. I understand how difficult it is to share these intimate experiences with someone you do not know and I am honored to be the person who is able to partner with you as you strive to heal. If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, outbursts of anger, relationship problems, and suspect that past experiences may be impacting your life, it would be my honor to help you find insight, healing, and joy as you heal.

My expertise is in working with survivors of sexual abuse and survivors of domestic abuse. I have experience with the leading treatments to help survivors heal and I will work with you to determine what will be the most helpful treatment for you.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

EMDR is a therapeutic approach that I use with clients who have experienced trauma in their lives. I have completed specialized training on the use of EMDR and consider it to be an important part of recovery from trauma.

  • Eclectic External link

Each client's needs are different. In order to accommodate your specific needs, I will use the therapeutic approach that best fits your needs and personality. The approaches that I draw from include CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused CBT, humanistic, emotionally focused therapy, solutions focused therapy, and family systems therapy.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Sexual Abuse External link

Sexual abuse affects us in ways that we may not realize. This often includes anxiety, depression, difficulty trusting others, and difficulty forming and maintaining healthy relationships. I am here to help my clients learn how to reestablish their lives and begin to recover.

  • Domestic Abuse External link

Domestic abuse is confusing and isolating. Whether you are currently in an abusive relationship or you have gotten out of one, I am here to offer a safe environment in which you can heal and grow.

  • PTSD External link

PTSD is a set of symptoms that is caused by traumatic events in our lives. I utilize EMDR, mindfulness, and trauma-focused CBT to help my clients minimize the effects of PTSD on their lives.

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety can be healthy when it is at a normal level. However, there are times when anxiety becomes overwhelming and affects our quality of life. I help my clients utilize various skills to reduce their anxiety to a healthy level and achieve a greater measure of peace in their lives.

  • Depression External link

Depression can cast a fog over us, affecting our quality of life. My goal is to work with you to minimize your depression by understanding why you are feeling the way you feel. I teach my clients skills that they can use to manage their depression and enjoy life more fully.
