My Approach

I believe that the most important part of counseling is the relationship. I work from a Person Centered perspective and integrate Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Intersubjective Psychotherapy to create safe and accepting relationships which foster growth and healing. I traveled extensively as a child so one of my specialties is cross-cultural counseling as I have a deep understanding of the challenges when moving from one culture to another. Another specialty is working with couples and providing them with tools for great communication. I hope I will be able to provide you a safe place to unpack your challenges, discover new ways to relate and overcome the difficulties you are seeking counseling for. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My Background

I am currently a graduate student intern at George Fox University studying Marriage Couple and Family Counseling. My focus in graduate school has been on Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. I am completing Gottman Method training. I also hold a bachelors degree in Psychology from Concordia University, Nebraska.
