My Ideal Client

My work is focused on helping individuals, couples, and parents heal and gain the necessary skills to improve personal and relational wellbeing. I work with helping people to improve emotional management, symptoms of anxiety and depression, relationship conflict, life transitions and more. My ideal client is motivated for change and is willing to put in effort to get the results they are looking for.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy involves a focus on mindfulness as well as somatic experiencing, while incorporating a variety of other, evidence-based techniques to best suit individual needs. In sessions this often means learning acceptance and other mindfulness skills, learning to connect the mind and body, processing emotions & past events, improving coping & communication skills, and increasing self-compassion. I provide a safe space for LGBTIQA identifying individuals and couples.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Portland State University. I worked in community mental health with individuals and families before starting a private practice. I have experience facilitating groups with both adults and children concerning a variety of mental health topics. I continue to educate myself on issues relevant to mental health and therapy through continuing education courses, readings, supervision and consultation.
