My Approach

My goal in practice is to provide a holistic approach to the treatment of chronic pain. I focus on the mind-body connection, which is often missed in traditional medicine. Studies continue to show the impact of stress and trauma on pain symptoms. Through a combination of counseling, mindfulness techniques, and lifestyle coaching, I aim to provide a path out of the despair of chronic pain.

My Background

I received my M.D. from the University of Virginia and completed my residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, serving as Chief Resident during my final year. My experience centers on the treatment of chronic pain and similar conditions as well as chronic disability. I sought out training in Mind-Body Medicine after seeing the limitations of the traditional medical model in treatment of these conditions. My other areas of interest include traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities, and functional movement/nutrition.
