My Ideal Client

I am most passionate about working with individuals who suffer from the lasting effects of trauma. My clients also benefit from our work together addressing depression, anxiety, addiction, attachment disorders, relationship issues, and more. I am a relational therapist, so as a client of mine you will learn that I value the healing that can happen within the therapeutic relationship itself. My clients appreciate my collaborative approach as we work together make positive changes.

My Approach to Helping

I believe we all have the ability to heal and grow from our sources of wounding. We can attend to issues of depression, anxiety, addiction, anger, codependency, and more that can arise from unresolved past experiences and current struggles. My collaborative therapeutic approach is rooted in mindful awareness and acceptance, informed by relational and attachment models, and guided by an appreciation of each person’s unique existential search for meaning. I aim to foster a space where you can engage in your present experience, show up as you are, and find awareness, choice, and support in the life that awaits you. You are a complex system of your experiences. We will work together for you to become more aware of yourself and discover possibilities for choosing a more fulfilling and satisfying relationship with yourself and others. Change can happen!

My Values as a Therapist

At the core of my values is a true understanding that you know yourself better than anyone else. It is sad to me that even in a society that values independence as much as ours, there is such a lack of promoting self-efficacy. As a therapist I believe that my job is not to fix problems or make quick judgments, but rather that the purpose for my presence in the therapeutic relationship is to offer unconditional respect of your uniquely complex human Self. It is extremely important to me that each person I sit with comes to understand their inherent strengths as they work towards their individual values. I know that we all have the capacity to exist in authenticity.
