Interpersonal Process and Attachment Repair

Anxiety, Personal Growth

This long-term, interpersonal process group is designed to help you explore yourself in attachment relationships, experiment with new ways of engaging, practice nervous system regulation, and integrate this experiential learning into your everyday life. Process groups can be a powerful tool for interpersonal growth and learning and, at best, provide a deep sense of closeness and belonging.

The group consists of 4-8 members and is led by Jeannie Songer, LPC. The group is ongoing and meets for two hours each week. The group asks that new group members make at least a six-month commitment to create a sense of stability in the group, and for the possibility of attachment and attachment repair. Currently, some of our group members have been together for 2-3 years or more, and we are seeking members who are open to this kind of long-term work. New members may be accepted into the group if and when openings occur.

This group is also a good fit for those interested in mindfulness , experiential, and body-centered approaches to therapeutic work.

Holding the Therapist Mother

Parenting, Women’s Issues

This is a group for therapists (pre-licensed ok) who are also mothers to explore the intersections of clinical work, attachment and mothering, and who see this work as a spiritual path. We will use inquiry, mindfulness and writing as entry-points into rich discussion and deep support. Both silly and serious, this group taps right into the river of heartache and connection that flows beneath this work we do. Holding the Therapist Mother promises to become a source for grounding, authenticity and development in this wild terrain we navigate everyday.
