My Ideal Client

Many of the women who come to therapy with me are navigating major life transitions—separation or divorce, midlife identity shifts, parenting changes, or realizing the life they built no longer feels aligned with who they are becoming. These experiences can bring anxiety, grief, and uncertainty while managing work, relationships, and family responsibilities. I also work with college students and young adults navigating anxiety, identity development, and life direction.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC), I integrate traditional psychotherapy with somatic and trauma-informed approaches to support women navigating divorce, separation, and major life transitions. My work incorporates somatic awareness, trauma-informed breathwork, nervous system regulation, and inner child work to help clients process emotional experiences and understand long-standing patterns. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling and have extensive experience supporting adults and young adults through anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and major life transitions. In addition to individual therapy, I offer groups and retreats for women seeking deeper healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should offer a compassionate and grounded space where people feel deeply seen, heard, and supported—especially during times of change and uncertainty. Many of the clients I work with are navigating divorce, relationship transitions, or major life shifts that challenge their sense of identity and direction. My work honors the connection between mind and body, integrating traditional therapy with somatic practices that support nervous system regulation and emotional healing. Outside of my work, I value time with my family, spontaneous adventures, and quiet mornings for reflection and breathwork. These practices help me stay present and grounded in the work I do with clients.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Somatic therapy focuses on how emotional experiences and stress are held in the body. By integrating body awareness, breathwork, and nervous system regulation, this approach helps clients release stored tension and reconnect with a sense of safety and balance. Somatic work can be especially helpful for anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions such as divorce or relationship changes.

  • Family Systems External link

Family systems therapy explores how early family relationships and dynamics shape emotional patterns, beliefs, and ways of relating to others. Understanding these patterns can be especially helpful during life transitions such as divorce or relationship changes. This work often overlaps with inner child exploration, helping clients develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

  • Humanistic  External link

Humanistic therapy emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and the belief that people have an inherent capacity for growth. My approach focuses on creating a compassionate, collaborative space where clients feel deeply seen and supported while exploring life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

Mindfulness practices help bring awareness to thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. These tools can reduce anxiety, increase emotional regulation, and support greater self-awareness. Mindfulness also complements somatic work by helping clients reconnect with their bodies and develop steadiness during times of change.

  • Holistic External link

I take a whole-person approach that considers emotional, relational, and physical aspects of healing. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, therapy explores the broader patterns and experiences shaping your life. Integrating somatic awareness, breathwork, and reflective practices helps support deeper insight, resilience, and lasting change.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Divorce External link

Divorce and separation can be some of the most emotionally complex life transitions. Many women navigating divorce are also managing parenting changes, shifting identities, and difficult decisions about the future. Therapy offers a supportive space to process grief, anxiety, and uncertainty while rebuilding a sense of stability, self-trust, and direction during this chapter of life.

  • Women's Issues External link

Many of the women I work with are navigating midlife transitions, relationship changes, identity shifts, and evolving roles in work, partnership, and family life. Therapy offers a compassionate space to explore these experiences, reconnect with your voice and values, and move through life transitions with greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding.

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety often intensifies during times of uncertainty and life transition. My approach helps clients understand the underlying patterns driving anxiety while using somatic practices and nervous system regulation to restore a sense of safety and balance. Therapy focuses on helping you feel more grounded, resilient, and able to navigate challenges with greater steadiness.

  • Loss or Grief External link

Grief can accompany many life changes, including divorce, relationship endings, and identity transitions. Therapy provides a compassionate space to process loss, honor what has changed, and gradually integrate these experiences. Together we work toward healing while helping you move forward with greater understanding, resilience, and self-compassion.

  • Personal Growth External link

Therapy can be a powerful space for self-discovery and personal growth. Together we explore patterns, beliefs, and emotional experiences that may be holding you back. Through reflection, somatic awareness, and supportive dialogue, clients gain greater clarity, resilience, and alignment with who they are becoming and the life they want to create.
