My Ideal Client

You might be wanting to better understand yourself to feel a little less stuck. You may struggle in relationships, with self-esteem, and feel overwhelmed by emotion. We will work together to understand these experiences and develop new patterns of relating with yourself. You might be wanting support to feel more confident, self-soothe, and explore your beliefs and somatic responses. I integrate somatic, cognitive, and emotion-based approaches so you can bring these aspects together.

My Approach to Helping

My core approaches currently include increasing awareness of parts of self (Internal Family Systems), understanding how our current experiences of ourselves and others have been influenced by relationships throughout life (attachment theory), increasing emotional regulation and grounding skills through an understanding of nervous system states and somatic-emotional-cognitive connections (polyvagal theory). I infuse a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens throughout these frameworks. My approach is influenced by the following theories and frameworks: Attachment theory Critical Race and Intersectional Theories Internal Family Systems Liberation Health Model Non-violent communication Polyvagal Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Safe and Sound Protocol Trauma-sensitive and responsive

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

There is deep value in the healing capacity of relationships. This requires the growth of a sense of safety through being seen, heard, and valued for all parts of self that one brings into therapeutic settings. There is not one avenue of healing and I aim to facilitate a collaborative space where your internal expertise can be nourished. To foster a collaborative dialogue, transparency around identity, privilege, power, and oppression can be integrated into discussions. I believe it's important to situation our individual experiences withing broader systems of power.
