My Ideal Client

While I specialize in mothers, infants and young children, I see individuals from all walks of life and all ages.

My Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Washington (MC60233044) licensed to practice under supervision. I graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. In this program, I completed practicums, case conferences, and an internship at Ryther Child Center in Seattle as an outpatient therapist. Post-graduate school I completed an externship as a therapist at the Salvation Army Residential Rehabilitation Center. I have taken the National Clinical Mental Health Counselors Exam (NCMHCE) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Additionally, I completed a two-year seminar in Infant Observation through Northwest Family Development Center: Center for Object Relations in Seattle which consisted of observing a mother-infant relationship from 0-12 months, individual supervision, and group consultation.

My Approach to Helping

Welcome. It takes a lot of courage to share your story and I admire you. One of my goals as a therapist is to create a warm and safe space. Creating a therapeutic alliance based on safety and trust is foundational for change and healing. I stand in openness and empathy towards my clients and encourage compassion and honesty as they look within and work at getting to know themselves and grow their capacity to think about their inner life. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Relational, Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and is heavily influenced by British Object Relations, Attachment Theory, and Neurobiology.
