My Ideal Client

Are you tired of talk therapy? Do you feel disconnected from your body and aliveness? Do you want to shift your biology and your nervous system? Do you suffer from anxiety, fear, irritation, depression, or loneliness? Are you not the same since an accident, surgery, chronic illness, or acute trauma? Are you wanting to create new outcomes and solutions to behaviors in your relationships? Do you want the ability to set boundaries while staying calm, powerful, and relaxed?

My Approach to Helping

I approach the body as a completely intelligent, conscious, and energetically attuned system. Your body knows exactly what it needs to heal and give you the feedback for innate health. I define body as Mind, Spirit, and Physiology. Each person is unique in their pace, nourishment needs, style of connection, and change pathways. We clarify your needs through simple body centered practices with sensation, breathing, perception, and orientation being our guides. We understand change comes through repetition through various neurological pathways so we create guided and self-directed resources of: breathwork, audio sound meditations, dance prompts, cognitive reframing, and nourishment styles. I also do hands on work with your energy system and your blocks that may need your attention. Once we feel your are resourced and their is relational safety and trust I offer a somatic session of selective inhibition with Medicine or non-medicine to access deeper biological charges.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a survivor of Complex Childhood PTSD and this gives me a nuanced lens through which I view the process of healing and transformation. I began my recovery from dissociative states and invisibility through the study of dance ethnology and dance movement therapy in the 90's. I lacked a sense of belonging and power which led me to studying with other cultures rituals and spirituality. Experiencing firsthand the power of shamanism, primal movements, emotional release, and the power of a witness I learned a non-colonial approach to healing. I found that most healing happens not by talking about it but by the nuance of experience, emotions, felt sense of attunement, rhythm (repetition), and human connection. I also was blessed to meet my Spiritual Guru at a young age who offered me a calm resting with clarity that was not conditional on outer phenomenon. These two orientations create a creative and open atmosphere of my coaching practice.
