My Ideal Client

I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families who want to better understand themselves and their relationships. My clients are often navigating stress, conflict, or disconnection and are ready to look at patterns holding them back. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, creating a collaborative, culturally responsive space where humor, honesty, and compassion help foster healing and change.

My Approach to Helping

I hold a Master’s in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College and a BS in General Studies from the University of Portland. For five years, I worked in inpatient settings supporting children and teens with behavioral and mental health challenges. My approach integrates attachment and structural perspectives with other evidence-based modalities as needed. I believe growth happens through insight, understanding, and increased connection within our relationships and environments. My style is active, collaborative, and direct—with humor when appropriate—to help clients recognize unhelpful patterns and develop new ways of relating. As a Latina therapist, I am mindful of systemic oppression and committed to offering a supportive, non-judgmental space for clients of all identities to heal and thrive.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing happens in connection—with ourselves, others, and our communities. I’m dedicated to creating safe, affirming spaces for people from all backgrounds, especially those in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Originally from Sacramento, I’ve called Portland home for over a decade. Outside of therapy, I love exploring new restaurants, cooking, playing tennis and lacrosse, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with friends. I have a deep love for dogs and proudly embrace my role as “auntie” to many pups until I adopt one of my own. I’m also known for making the best charcuterie boards in town—a reminder that nourishment, creativity, and connection can take many forms, both inside and outside the therapy room.
