My Ideal Client

I will collaborate with you to find creative ways to work through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, navigation of your experience with neurodiversity, trauma responses, or communication issues that you may be experiencing in everyday life. I offer individualized, inventive techniques such as mindfulness activities, creative art and writing, movement therapy and therapeutic storytelling, allowing you to personalize your therapy experience.

My Background and Approach

As a therapist, I followed a non-traditional route to this field. I spent two years in the Peace Corps in Panamá , where I worked with youth and young adults with disabilities. Upon returning to the United States, I continued my work with individuals with disabilities in the classroom, vocational rehabilitation and mental health fields. I hold a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (M.R.C.) from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Special Education (M.A.-SpEd) from New Mexico Highlands University. I hold certificates in Brainspotting (Phase 1), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (C6460) and I am committed to offering professional and affordable counseling to fellow Oregonians. I am currently a PhD student in a Counselor Education and Supervision program. **Now providing Supervision for LPC/LMFT Associates, please email to inquire!**

Why I am a Good Fit for You

Have you tried traditional therapy and found it just didn't work out for you? Let's collaborate and find an inventive avenue for working on the unique issues within your life! The following is a partial list of creative activities that I may use while working with an individual: -Mindfulness -Movement -Therapeutic storytelling -Animal-assisted activities -Creative expression (art and writing) -Gardening -Role-playing games (RPG, similar to D&D). I am now able to provide Brainspotting, an evidence-based modality effective for a wide variety of emotional and somatic conditions. Brainspotting is particularly effective with trauma-based situations, helping to identify and heal underlying trauma that contributes to anxiety, depression and other trauma-related responses.
