My Ideal Client

Trauma can be a single event incident, childhood wounds from neglect and/or abuse, religious trauma, gender identity/LGBTQIA+, military trauma and more. Those who suffer from trauma wounds often struggle to control emotions, lack self-regulation, and face difficulties in relationships with communication and boundaries setting. You may find yourself unable to trust others, or even find yourself ignoring red flags recklessly trusting others. Trauma has a way of negatively altering our judgement.

My Approach to Helping

I specialize in Trauma & Attachment therapy. My approach utilizes trauma interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting in combination with talk therapy and a strong relationship. I did not become a therapist to "make a lot of money" or because I thought it was an easy career path. I became a therapist because I want to be apart of the solution and walk side by side with others into healing and peace. This world is full of awful and hurtful people and agendas, but it also has so many wonderful and beautiful people and agendas as well. I work with my clients to shrug off the expectations and chains others have put onto them so they can step into the person they have always been underneath. I truly care, and I believe that shows through my interactions and sessions with you. You matter incredibly!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a cis gender white male who grew up in a privileged white Christian home, in a very white community in Arizona. Hold on, don't leave me yet! Lol. The rules and restrictions of religion combined with the hypocrisy of the people in the church community fueled my continued quest to better understand who I was, because I knew I did not fit that mold. Along with this religious hypocrisy came racist and homophobic/transphobic hate being spewed from all those around me. Through this facade of religion, our home and church was filled with substance abuse issues, addictions, and domestic violence that were all swept under the rug. I had many closeted friends who never felt safe to be who they were. Needles to say, over the last several decades, I have done much work to process my trauma wounds and find healing. The peace I have found is too great to selfishly hold for myself. It is my mission to guide others into their peace and life filled with gratefulness, freedom and satisfaction.
