Our Ideal Client

Our ideal client is an individual who is seeking change to better their life and actively willing to collaborate with their therapist in order to see that change through. I personally work well with adolescent males adults of all genders and couples. I integrate Gottman and attachment theory when working with couples. I work with males with sexual addictions and couples who are having sexual problems in their relationship.

My Approach to Helping

I believe therapy is about a therapist and a client collaborating together to address mental health issues and or deal with life problems. I believe the client (You) is the expert about themselves concerning strengths, weaknesses, and issues of concern. I believe it is my job and purpose as a therapist to build a therapeutic relationship which supports the development of the client's insights, and life skills; including the identification of strengths, and support systems that may aid in the reduction of negative symptoms and improve quality. I do tele-health and in person where Mason my therapy dog joins. He is a therapy dog.

My Approach to Helping

Holistic Approach I believe healing is when a person is whole mentally, spiritually, and physically. My job as a therapist to support you in that healing. "The best way to pursue happiness is to help other people because there is nothing else that will make you happier." George Lucas I believe real therapy is building a relationship and collaborating.

Techniques I Use

  • Couples Counseling External link

I work with couples also who have trauma, especially involving sexual addiction and/or infidelity. I believe couples can not only recover from it, but grow to be stronger through it.

  • Gottman Method External link

I use Gottman as well as EFT with couples

Issues I Treat

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I have training in Gottman and have been working with couples since 2010. I integrate Gottman and attachment theory in my work with couples.

  • Sexual Addiction External link

I have been working with especially men concerning sexual addictions since 2004 and was mentored by somebody who has over 30 years experience.

  • Domestic Abuse External link

My dissertation was on integration of families during domestic violence intervention. I helped to initiate and direct a domestic violence intervention program in Eugene. Currently I work with couples and indivuals who are either victims or perpetrators of domestic violence or both. I also work with couples where there has been incidental domestic violence, but not cycles of violence.
