My Ideal Client

I know how hard having vulnerable relationship conversations can be. Maybe you feel a surge of anxiety when you think about having a big talk, maybe you learned early in life there’s no point, maybe you struggle to find the time in the grind of daily life. It’s hard. It’s also worth it. I believe that our connections to others, especially our loved ones, are the largest influence on whether we lead fulfilling and happy lives.

My Background and Approach

I am drawn to relational therapy because I believe healthy partnerships are fundamental to people's quality of life, yet this area often receives insufficient direct support. I am particularly passionate about providing support to clients who struggle to find help due to their sexual and gender identity or their relationship structure. As a queer and non-monogamous therapist, I offer clients a level of familiarity with these areas that remains rare, even in Portland. I will do my absolute best to help everyone in the room feel seen and understood and work from that base to figure out what comes next. My therapy style is warm and present and straight forward; we’ll talk about goals, and timelines, and how to stabilize quickly so that getting from one week to the next feels less challenging. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations to get a better idea of whether I’d be a good fit for you. I look forward to talking.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I grew up right here in Portland, and while I’ve spent time living in other states and countries, Portland has always felt like home. I love the city and I love the beautiful environment around us, but Portland has always been home because of my relationships with friends, family, partners, and community. When I am not at work, I’m dragging my friends and partners to secret swimming holes, fiddling around with endless projects--often involving woodworking or computers--and sharing good food and quality time with loved ones.
