My Ideal Client

Hello! My name is Brynn Shaver, a licensed Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I am from Asheville, North Carolina but currently reside in Bend, Oregon. I have experience with clients who are often individuals who are working through transitional periods of their life, substance use, LGBTQIA+, military veterans and trauma survivors. I aim to assist clients with building their “toolbox” so they can continue to achieve their goals and provide navigation in anything that life throws at them.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to counseling is client-driven, with the help of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Along with these modals, the use of trauma informed care and skill building will be provided so that clients can provide themselves with a healthy way to approach life circumstances. I aim to provide a safe and open space for clients that allows goals to be reached through collaboration and communication.

My ideal clientele are adults, who are part of minority populations (LGBTQIA+, African American, Hispanic) and other populations that are underserved but have the desire to build their toolbelt in the face of difficult periods of life. With evidence-based practices and a holistic approach, I aim to connect with individuals who are ready to take the leap and improve themselves in the face of life's difficulties.
