My Ideal Client

I work with teenagers and adults who experience a wide variety of concerns, and seek counseling for many reasons. I look forward to learning more about you to see if we might be a good fit for working together.

My Approach to Helping

As a counselor, I consider my role first and foremost to be warm, responsive, and present with you, and whatever it is you might bring with you into our time together. I welcome people of all identities and life experiences. I will walk alongside you on your own wonderfully unique journey, always focusing on working together to create the safety and connection that our embodied and relational beings need to thrive. Deepening a felt-sense of safety and security in the counseling relationship can ripple out into your life in beautiful and transformative ways. Sessions are organic and dependent on what is "alive" for you in the here and now of the counseling session. I strive to listen deeply and follow your lead. When appropriate, we will weave in pragmatic tools for your specific needs, offer information intended to empower you and normalize your experience, or guided somatic or mindfulness practices.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Holistic External link

I see people as a whole being- body, mind, spirit, as well as cultural being. My training in yoga and mindfulness offer tools to address your broader self.

  • Relational  External link

The foundation of my professional development and study is focused on the client-therapist relationship as the crucible of change. I take seriously the responsibility to be present and authentic in order to create a space where you can feel safe and seen. I am committed to my own personal growth and development. I have studied Interpersonal Neurobiology with Bonnie Badenoch, PhD, since 2016.

  • Interpersonal External link

Often the focus of therapy is your social roles and relationships. I believe that this is the arena of our life where many of our greatest strengths as well as struggles are born. I have extensively studied and practiced with a focus on trauma, attachment, and relationships.
