Cambria Beirow

Professional Counselor Intern

Hello! I'm Cambria. I am a queer, non-binary therapist. I utilize an intersectional lens in the therapy process to allow clients the space to be their most authentic selves. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, creating art, watching horror films, and playing tabletop roleplaying games.

My Approach

I approach therapy as a collaborator, working with the client to determine their needs, goals, aspirations, and methods to move forward. I use techniques from emotion-focused therapy, relational cultural therapy, existential therapy, narrative therapy, and attachment theory in my work with clients. I firmly believe that we are impacted by the way we tell our stories and how we experience our relationships and emotions. Gaining insight and self-awareness allows us to make changes in the way we think, feel, and act in response to life stressors, which can help develop a sense of balance in our lives. I hope that I can assist clients in identifying their emotions and illuminating their own values and beliefs in a safe environment. I am a body-positive, sex-positive, BDSM/kink-aware therapist. I look forward to working with any and all clients, including those in non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships, LGBTQAI+ individuals, sex workers, and those with sexual concerns.

My Background

I am a Counseling Intern. I graduated from the Professional Mental Health Counseling program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in December of 2019. In the past, I worked at Brave Space, LLC, as a Counseling Intern, serving the transgender community. My specialities involve working with the LGBTQAI+ community, folks involved in non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships, folks with sexual concerns, sex workers, and other individuals in sexual fringe communities. Outside of my specialties, I work with folks of all mental health backgrounds, including those living with anxiety, depression, dissociative disorders, bipolar diagnoses, eating disorders, and cultural and systemic oppression, as well as a wide variety of other backgrounds. I work with individuals across the lifespan-- children, teens, young adults, adults, and the elderly.
