My Ideal Client

I specialize in providing individual therapy to adults who are transgender/nonbinary (TGNB) with a focus on people who have Medicaid/OHP.

What I Specialize In

I have a commitment to treating the whole person, because I know that all areas of a person’s life can impact their wellness. My theoretical approach to therapy embodies the person-centered emphasis of humanistic therapy, with a focus on exploring personal strength and meaning. I also provide assessments and letters for gender affirming care. I use a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), parts work, and Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Social Justice Issues I Care About

I became a therapist because I have always been an impassioned advocate for social justice and I wanted to make an individual difference in the lives of people, particularly those recovering from traumatic events. I acknowledge the US healthcare system is rooted in violence and discrimination targeted toward many communities, including those who are Black, Indigenous, trans, disabled, and the list goes on. I am committed to providing therapy that does not perpetuate harmful attitudes, stereotypes and treatments. I honor the lived experience and knowledge each person brings to therapy. I am an advocate for a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: housing first, to Black Lives Matters, LGBTQ+ rights, trans healthcare, and the list goes on.
