My Ideal Client

Do you often find yourself feeling down, anxious, moody, overwhelmed, or stuck? Maybe you’ve been feeling immobilized, unable to reach your goals or even to totally know what your goals are anymore. You think - why can’t I just get it together? I specialize in with work teens and adults addressing a variety of issues, including anxiety and depression. I work with clients to go deeper into their experiences of these issues in order to find out how to help people feel better.

My Approach to Helping

If you’re reading this, it probably means that something is shifting inside you. You are ready for things to be different. I not only work with my clients to understand what's influencing anxiety or depression, I work with them to develop practical skills. Calm and joy is inside all of us, but sometimes things get in the way of accessing those things, or we never learned in the first place how to access them. Therapy with me means that you will have the opportunity to figure things out in a low-key, ultra-supportive, nonjudgmental environment designed to help you know yourself more while gaining practical skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a BS in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University and a Master of Social Work from Portland State University. I have worked with adults, teens, and children in a variety of settings, including community work, in-patient drug/alcohol rehabilitation, mentorship programs, group and individual therapy with children, and work with teen parents. I am a licensed and currently practicing School Social Worker in the state of Oregon.
