My Approach to Helping

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are" - Carl Jung. That well known quote exemplifies my underlying goal with is to help my clients move toward and achieve self-actualization. This often occurs by working though trauma, family and cultural programming, and elevating self awareness. I employ Jungian concepts via Psychodynamic, Family Systems, ACT, Solution Focused, and CBT modalities. I work within these frameworks to help identify blocks, goals, and needs in order to achieve personal growth and self inspiration.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Like most modern therapists my trajectory into mental health was largely informed by painful experiences and relationships early in my life. Yet I was fortunate enough to also have been exposed to Jungian and other psychological concepts, existential and philosophical exploration, and meditation and mindfulness at the same point in my life. Being naturally curious and somewhat gregarious I have always been inspired by the unique stories people have regardless of ethnicity, socio economic status, or other identifiers. I love the variety of clients I get to work with because they reflect the patchwork of humanity, the intersectionality of modern social issues, but also the spark of individuality we each hold whether buried or not.
