My Ideal Client

We all deserve a space where we can be seen, heard, accepted, and valued. My goal is to provide a counseling environment where we can meet you authentically for who you are, right where you are, wherever that is! Whether you are coming to therapy for childhood hurt that won't go away, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, codependency, identity, self-esteem, or something else, I believe in a collaborative journey that provides a space for you to be, explore, grow, and heal just as you are.

My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I specialize in working with trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and identity/self-esteem (LGBTQIA + friendly). Based on your needs, I utilize/offer EMDR, IFS/parts work, somatic therapies, mindfulness practices, narrative therapy, art therapy practices and creative approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more. I utilize evidence-based practices that are trauma-informed, strength-based, social justice/multiculturally informed, neurobiologically informed, and tailored to your unique goals. At the core of all that we would do in therapy is YOU: your strengths, your interests, and your needs! All parts of you are welcome. Together we will work together to build a life you hope for, and deserve.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a PhD in counseling with almost a decade of clinical experience, M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and serve as an Expert Blog Author for Psychology Today (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/lifting-the-veil-trauma). I specialize in trauma/complex trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, identity/self-esteem, & womxn's mental health (w/ years of experience w/ personality disorders, addiction, neurodiversity, etc.). I am loudly queer friendly and involved in social justice work in my life for all marginalized persons/identities. In working with me, my hope is to support you in finding the well-being and integrated life you are striving for. Note: I also have an interest of working with therapists and first responders. If you are a helper who seeks to work with someone who understands what it feels like to hold the trauma of others, I would be happy to talk with you to see if I can support you in you journey.
