My Ideal Client

We are likely a good fit if you are ready to commit to a deeper dive and are looking for how to keep witnessing atrocities, cruelty, beauty, and joy and cultivating a heart open enough to hold it all. We likely aren’t a good fit if you just want to download your week and want a blank wall/passive listener or want CBT worksheets for homework. Clients tell me I am deeply compassionate, present, relatable, insightful, and real.

What I Specialize In

What does it mean to live in a time of collapse? How do we find meaning and healing as people who from the beginning may have grown up in environments so counter to what we needed - that didn’t reflect us? I believe healing and insight are possible even in times of systemic crisis. I am trained in EMDR and also use the parts-centered work of Janina Fisher in my trauma work. Most of us show up in therapy not with single event or single issue trauma, and I specialize in complex trauma and attachment-based trauma.

Why I Became a Therapist

I didn't know transpeople could be our own therapists. I'm moving to Portland after living many years in Seattle and, more recently, trying my hand at more rural life in Bellingham but finding radical trans community deeply lacking. None of us can heal in isolation or without enough points of safety. I believe deeply in our own people tending to one another and am honored to do this work, which I love.
