My Ideal Client

I work with older kids, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationships, and life transitions. Sessions mix insight, practical strategies, and a bit of humor, all aimed at helping clients feel understood, build skills, and make meaningful change. I prioritize a collaborative approach, meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward what matters most to them.

My Approach to Helping

I take a collaborative, client-led approach to therapy. Sessions work best when we’re both authentic. I mix humor, honesty, and directness to create a space where clients feel supported and understood. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Interpersonal Neurobiology to help clients build practical skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen emotional flexibility. My goal is to guide rather than direct, meeting each person where they are and helping them move toward what matters most to them. Every session is tailored to you, focused on making real-life changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

More About the People I Treat

My foundation is in mental performance coaching; I hold a Master’s degree in sport psychology from Cal State Fullerton.. This background has helped me hone one of the most important skills therapists need: being fully present with you and understanding you as a person. I also see people as performers in many aspects of life — as students, friends, partners, employees, and more. I pursued a degree in clinical mental health because I value the deeper work that goes beyond the surface. Having the difficult conversations and experiencing the relief and growth people bring is one of my favorite parts of therapy. That said, I won’t push you into the uncomfortable before you’re ready. I’m here to guide you while you remain the problem solver. Think of me as a supportive backseat driver — I won’t be driving the car, but I’ll make the ride engaging, helpful, and hopefully enjoyable!
