My Ideal Client

I typically see adults facing challenges related to attachment, relational, loss, and/or complex trauma. Trauma recovery can present in a number of ways including depression, anxiety, disordered substance use or eating, mood instability, unfulfilling relationships, or numbed emotions. I thrive in creating a supportive, empathetic space where we can explore these issues together at your own pace.

My Background and Approach

I graduated from Syracuse University with a Master of Social Work (MSW). I bring valuable experience volunteering on a suicide hotline and interning as a counselor for individuals facing financial and housing insecurity. My specialized training focuses on trauma recovery, suicidal ideation, and LGBTQ+ issues, allowing me to support a diverse range of clients. In therapy, I take an integrative approach, utilizing various modalities such as narrative therapy, art therapy, somatic (body connection) techniques, behavioral strategies, and talk therapy. This flexibility allows me to tailor sessions to each your unique needs and preferences. I create a supportive and honest environment where you can explore their thoughts and feelings, build resilience and coping skills, and work toward healing and personal growth. Together, we can navigate challenges and foster a deeper understanding of your challenges, strengths, and self.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am dedicated to social justice and anti-oppressive values in my therapy practice. I believe everyone deserves equal access to mental health care and a safe space to share their identities. I focus primarily on LGBTQ+ issues and the unique challenges this community faces in acceptance and visibility. In my free time, I enjoy playing table top RPGs, board games and video games with my friends. I love trying out new restaurants and food trucks. Last but certainly not least, I love spending time at home with my family and pets!
