Specialties
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. I am trained in this therapy and have been using it with great success in people with trauma, anxiety, depression, flashbacks, phobias, DV, grief and loss, panic attacks, addiction and eating disorders. EMDR has been used for decades and produces results in a much shorter time than other therapies.
Specialties
I love creating a safe space for couples to talk through difficult issues and restore or improve their love relationships. I have been married for 26 years and raised 4 children, so I know all too well that life can get very difficult and overwhelming at times.
I have 15 years of experience working with individuals and groups who struggle with eating disorders. I have had particular success working with clients who deal with binge eating disorder or food addiction.
I work with many clients who experienced trauma in childhood or at a different time in their lives. My clients include First Responders, Veterans, Victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse, and Survivors of childhood abuse. I have been trained in EMDR and have used this therapy successfully with many of my clients. I am also trained to work specifically with first responders.
I have worked with many clients who struggle with anxiety and have successfully treated them by using a combination of CBT and EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is especially beneficial as it pertains to clients who have had trauma in their past that is related to their current anxiety.
