Mindfulness is bringing our complete attention to the present moment. I believe that in order for change to occur we have to be aware. That can be an awareness of body pains, fears, thoughts, anything that is going on within ourselves. When we become aware, we are awake, we are conscious and have choices.
I believe that we are whole beings comprised of body, mind and spirit. I believe we each have a very deep drive for expressing our unique selves and striving for our own potential. We all have a wise voice within, my job is to meet you where you are and to support you in following your true self.
Having a larger context for our lives can bring comfort, belonging and peace. I will assist you while you explore and find what resonates for you.
The good news is that you can heal and learn healthy ways to interrelate. I will provide a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your own needs and desires. I will assist you in creating healthy boundaries to take care of yourself. You will learn to respectfully listen and trust yourself so you can create and be part of relationships that support you.
Is your world getting smaller? Do you have less time and energy for other meaningful relationships or hobbies? I will encourage and cheer you on as you redirect your life energy. We will review your priorities and values as well as examine how your choices support them. We will work on widening your circle of activities and friendships, focusing on self balance.
Something happened in the past to activate your alarm system, probably a series of events. Together, we will gently explore your thoughts, feelings and memories held deep in your body. I will encourage you to compassionately question your beliefs about yourself. I will support you in patiently walking through your fears so that you can flourish in your life.
Do you feel sad or empty? Perhaps you don’t enjoy activities, hobbies and friends like you used to. It's time for you to gather extra support in your life and be heard. Together, we will gently explore what you need to reclaim the joy in your life. You will find that the heaviness will lift and that a new openness and gratitude for life will enter.
This 8-session group is structured to create emotional safety and community. Each week a different topic will be covered. As a group member you can expect to build self-awareness, learn tools, develop self-compassion, and to receive understanding and support from the group. This group starts as soon as it fills. It meets twice a month.
