Therapy is hard, important work that requires much more than a template approach. Our treatment is as varied as our clients- tailored to fit individual needs. Compassion is a fundamental principle behind all of our work. We never forget our clients' humanity and what they've endured. Our clients receive care this is customized but not clinical- The ITTC team brings a down to earth, human approach to care. Treatment is never a one-way communication. We work with our clients to create the best care from the ground up: Together. Perhaps the greatest quality we bring to our treatment is a commitment to hope. We believe there are always pathways forward. We view the symptoms of trauma as an indicator of health, not an illness. Showing the bright spots in everyone by highlighting what our clients care most about.

ITTC practitioners have various specialties in other arenas of mental health in addition to post-traumatic stress. Trauma is our specialty, which increases our ability to address other concerns with sensitivity, compassion, and skill.

Techniques I Use

  • EMDR External link

EMDR is a well-researched treatment modality that is highly effective for its\' use with post-traumatic stress, chronic pain, mood disorders, athletes, children, and many other presenting concerns. EMDR has proven to be both effective and to accelerate the recovery process.

Issues I Treat

  • Dissociative Disorder (DD) External link

DD is the result of severe and persistent childhood abuse that typically begins at or before the age of five; it commonly well-disguised both from treatment providers and trauma survivors. Dissociation is well-recognized as being a normal response to adverse experiences, however there are few providers with expertise in this area. As a trauma center, we must be well equipped and adequately trained

  • PTSD External link

Survivors of trauma are often looking for clinicians who will not only help them process their story, but who will also connect, offer a sense of safety, nurturance and understanding. We work with PTSD from a prism of honor, reverence, and hope and assume goodness in all people with safety and nurturance as fundamental components to recovery.
