My Ideal Client

I am passionate about working with people who are pregnant, postpartum, entering parenthood, or are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, and those who are veterans. I have lived experience with ADHD, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions myself- and I know how difficult these things can be. I believe that each person is their own expert and I highlight strengths that can help boost confidence and self esteem.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is highlighted by authenticity, a client-centered approach, and creating a space that allows for healing and making needed changes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each of us needs help from others to navigate through life. I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping others get to know themselves better and improve their lives.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT can help with identifying negative thoughts, beliefs and thought patterns. CBT can help with coping with negative thoughts as they come up. With CBT we will look at where beliefs may have originated or noticing when they come up from day to day. CBT helps with restructuring thoughts that are sometimes unhelpful and creating a better or more positive experience in life.

  • Family Systems External link

Family systems therapy explores how families and the structure of families effect each of us, in sometimes known and unknown ways. Each of our dynamic and unique families is different and this approach explores ways to know ourselves and our lives better in relation to the family that we come from or are apart of.

  • Narrative  External link

With narrative therapy I encourage clients to tell their story, and I get to know their unique experiences. This kind of therapy can often help clients feel understood and suppported in their unique or challenging situations.

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy External link

SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) is a kind of therapy that we can use to move in a specific direction if you are feeling stuck, or not sure how to move forward in life. This kind of therapy can often help to expand creativity and problem solving skills that we can work on collaboratively.
