I practice openness and inclusivity. My approach is integrative, collaborative, humanistic and eclectic. I draw from a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic models. You will find my style is flexible and I tailor sessions and my approach to meet the needs of the people I serve.

I am a marriage, couple and family therapist and I maintain a warm and collaborative private practice where I specialize in engaging individuals, couples/partners and families in open dialogue. We will work together to grow or regain emotional and intimate connection and through compassion, hope and trust we will find creative resolve. I have a BA in Peace and Conflict, background in mediation along with a specialization in sex therapy. I am currently registered as a MFT intern with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.

  • Nonviolent Communication External link

I have been trained in conflict resolution and mediation. I hold a BA in Peace and Conflict. Miscommunication is at the root of conflict. I can guide better communication and help resolve conflict you are experiencing in your life.

  • Family Therapy External link

As a marriage couple and family therapist I am trained in family system. Families are unique, how they are configured, family rules and expectations, family roles and family of origin. Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Pregnancy (Prenatal Mental Health) External link

Pregnancy has many different meanings depending on who you ask. Whether you are pregnant and you want to process your pregnancy and or your birth or choices, are post partem and are experiencing intrusive thoughts/anxiety/depression/ and or are recovering from a traumatic birth, or you a grieving the loss of a child from miscarriage. I welcome and encourage partners join if this works for you .

  • Sexual Abuse External link

Sexual abuse does not discriminate, it effects all people no matter their age, gender, ability, socio economic class, race, sexual orientation and or culture. You are not alone, someone else is at fault not you. As a volunteer Rape Victim Advocate with Multnomah District Attorney I have seen the many ways sexual abuse and sexual assault effects people and their lives.

  • Family Conflict External link

There is not one mold that makes a family. I welcome all configurations of families. I understand that each family is unique with its own set of rules and family roles. As a marriage, couple family therapist I have extensive training on family relationships and family life cycles.

  • Sexual Problems External link

I am sex-positive and specialize in sex therapy that is inclusive and non judgmental. Areas of focus are intimate relationships, pleasure, infidelity, sexual desire discrepancies, difficulties with orgasm, difficulties with erections and orgasm, lack of desire, pain and discomfort in sex, alternative sexualities and lifestyles, sexual abuse and violence.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

We depend on one another, and each relationship requires maintainance and care. Although you may feel otherwise or heard otherwise there is nothing wrong with seeking support because relationships are challenging and each presents there own set of rules, negotiations, and conflicts.
