My Ideal Client

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, grief, and emotional overwhelm. I especially enjoy supporting individuals who feel stuck in survival mode and are seeking greater balance, self-understanding, and connection. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and body-centered, helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered in the healing process.

My Background

As a mother of three, I definitely understand what challenges come every day. The emotions, the transitions between parenting and daily life. My experience with children, pre-teens, teaching 6th grade and supporting elderly in assisted living and retirement settings has given me a deeper appreciation of all the life stages and the struggles that they bring. With experience in massage therapy, I help support them emotionally and physically because there is a connection between the mind and the body when trying to help you understand and regulate your stress in the body. I have gone through major life changes myself and it has taught me a great deal about growth, and a way to rediscover myself. I am a graduate student intern at Capella University, completing a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate, and a safe space for my clients while growing in my skills and knowledge where you will feel heard and supported.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, safe, and supported. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that everyone deserves a space where they can slow down, process their experiences, and reconnect with themselves. As a mother of three, I understand the realities of stress, caregiving, life transitions, and balancing the many roles we hold. My background working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults—along with experience in massage therapy—has shaped my body-centered approach to emotional healing and nervous system regulation. I value creating an inclusive, nonjudgmental environment where clients from all backgrounds feel respected, empowered, and understood.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy External link

I use a strengths-based approach that helps clients identify practical solutions, build on existing strengths, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.

  • Art Therapy External link

I incorporate creative and expressive techniques to help clients process emotions, reduce stress, and communicate experiences that may feel difficult to put into words. Creative approaches can support self-expression, healing, and emotional insight for both children and adults.

  • Play Therapy  External link

I use developmentally appropriate play-based interventions to help children express emotions, build coping skills, improve communication, and process life experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Play can help children feel more comfortable, understood, and emotionally connected.
