My Background and Approach

I believe that everyone knows themselves best and already has the tools to help themselves. I'm here to help you find, strengthen, and use those tools to figure out what your story is and how you'd like to rewrite it. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we can work together to identify your strengths and goals to assist you in your needs. I've had experience working in schools, with non-profits as a consultant and counselor, group practices, and community mental health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered approach with a narrative therapy lens. Narrative therapy looks at what your story is and helps you find and reclaim your identity and voice; together we can rewrite your story to help you reach your goals. This means that I allow the client to lead, because you know yourself better than I do, and you have the power to change your story. As a therapist, I am an outside person to support you in your journey. As a woman who is Alaskan Native and Pacific Islander, I am passionate about working with BIPOC folks and other marginalized communities. I'm a licensed professional counselor in Oregon and Alaska (#220862).
