I work with adults, older teens, and couples. I work with anyone needing some extra support, struggling with the pressures of work, relationships, and family, making a transition, or just trying to cope. I welcome people who identify with the queer community, are gender diverse, or are in the process of gender transition. I have expertise in working with healthcare professionals; physicians, RNs, NPs, PAs, and dentists.
Specialties
So much of our depression can be traced to loss or anger turned inward. I have worked with many people who have struggled with depression, both new and long standing depression. It is a process of understanding the relationships, thinking patterns, and losses that may be impacting your mood.
Worry, fear, overwhelm can be consuming and can impact our quality of life. I have spent many years working with people on their anxiety, past relational trauma, and shame. I have studied the physiology of stress and us mindfulness, grounding, and self-regulation to ground my work.
Loss is part of life. Much of our depression stems from loss. Loss can shake our identity in this world. I have worked with many people on loss and grief and see this as an area of expertise.
I have spent much of my career working in medical settings. These experiences have helped me understand medical training and culture. I understand the unique pressures that are on our healthcare professionals today. I have expertise working with healthcare providers and people in helping professions.
