My Background and Approach

I specialize in working from a relational foundation informed by attachment theory while incorporating Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Polyvagal theory. I believe my clients would describe me as animated, engaged, direct, curious, humorous, and down-to-earth in session. I value collaboration and anti-oppressive practices in my approach to therapy.

My Values as a Therapist

Prior to getting my graduate degree in Social Work, I worked in a variety of social service settings including in Juvenile Justice, a Women’s Shelter, and an Arts focused nonprofit working with youth in foster care and those experiencing houselessness in New York City and in Los Angeles, CA. I then moved to Oregon and completed my MSW degree at Portland State University in 2013 and have since worked in many different levels of care- from inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, integrated behavioral health, and now- outpatient therapy.
