My Approach

Are anxiety, depression and low self-worth regulars in your life? The process of recognizing old stories, beliefs, and patterns, can be overwhelming. It can bring up confusion, fear and grief. Changing old ways, that once kept you safe, can feel ungrounding and chaotic. Shifting what you've been familiar and comfortable with is deeply challenging and takes a great deal of courage, strength and vulnerability. With curiosity, compassion, and respect, my hope is to support you in gaining the inner resources and awareness necessary to break free of patterns that are making you feel miserable, drained of energy and stuck. My approach is collaborative, integrative and relational. I enjoy incorporating somatic and attachment focused therapies, mindfulness techniques, family systems therapy, parts work and guided imagery into my work with clients. If you or you and your significant other need support in working through some hurtful patterns, I am here to help.

My Background

For nearly a decade, I worked extensively with individuals, couples and families experiencing trauma and crisis, in outpatient, residential and home-based settings, on both the east coast and Portland. I earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. I am trained in Family Systems Therapy and currently training in Somatic and Attachment EMDR and Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy. Ongoing studies are in mindful self-compassion, trauma, attachment, parts work, and spirituality.
