My Ideal Client

I specialize in individual therapy for adults suffering from any of the following; depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bi-Polar, Schizo-affective, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, LGBTQ, sexually related issues, drug and alcohol issues, and much more. As a general practitioner I use combinations of therapy modes to collaborative help those in my care feel empowered and able to reach their treatment goals.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is an eclectic holistic and existential/humanist approach. Treating clients with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment. (using meditation), Other therapies: DBT, Gestalt, Narrative, Analytic, Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and more.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

2004 Bachelor of Science, Psychology, University of Idaho 2004 Began para-professional social work with children and families and adults with disabilities in community-based empowerment program in Coeur d’Alene, Id. 2007 Master of Social Work (Generalist), University of Eastern Washington. 2007 Began working as a therapist with children, families, couples, and individuals. 2014 moved to Portland Or. and began working with older adults until mid 2015. 2015 I began private practice working with individual adults. Although with a MSW “Generalist” degree combined with the broad background of experience you see listed here I am not limited to my specialties. The bulk of my experience is treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, and men’s issues. I am a former member of the military so I have a first hand understanding of military life and its struggles.
