My Ideal Client

As my client, you can expect to be provided with a warm, affirming, authentic, and non-judgmental space to be yourself. I am a firm believer that my clients are the experts of their experiences and I have the great honor to support you on your path of healing and growth! We will collaborate to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable to bring your authentic self into our sessions and ensure you feel supported in working towards your goals to be your best self.

My Approach to Helping

As a therapist, I practice from a relational, person-centered approach, which emphasizes the importance of the therapist-client relationship as it influences change. I value the relationship we build in the therapy space together, and I honor this by showing up as my genuine, non-judgmental self to connect authentically with you. As my client, you are the expert of your own journey and life experiences, while I have the privilege and honor of walking alongside you in it. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and to connect with your emotional and physical self related to the systems you are connected to. In my practice, I use evidence-based approaches from other theories and modalities tailored to each of my client’s needs as necessary. Additionally, I believe that community is an important part of healing, and I help connect my clients to what this looks like for them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, and sometimes we need a little extra support in being able to do so. I am passionate about working with families, young children, adolescents, and emerging adulthood clients! I practice from trauma-informed, affirming, and anti-racist lenses and enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and identities. I am especially passionate about providing informed services for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and BIPOC communities, with careful attention and acknowledgement to how my own identities have an impact on our therapeutic relationship. As a cishet-white woman, I am mindful of how my own identities and privilege show up in the room and impact the client-therapist relationship. I have experience working with clients of diverse and intersectional racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual, gender, identities and backgrounds. I am looking forward to meeting with and working alongside you!
