My Approach

Therapy takes time, and should not be rushed. Together, we will work through understanding the ways you have been impacted by your experience, recognizing the source of your symptoms, learning to have compassion for yourself, while finding your interpersonal strengths through a restorative therapeutic process. Treatment is an individual process, and if you are struggling, I offer a trusting and compassionate space which will support and address your individual needs. In our sessions, my role is to safely guide clients through the process of finding those answers through personal awareness, reflection, understanding, and to identify personal strengths throughout the therapeutic journey. Clients can expect our sessions to include mindfulness, experiential learning, humor, strength-based exploration, and clarifying questions to assist clients through this process. If you are ready to begin your journey, please call for a free individual phone consultation.

My Background

I hold Master's degree in Professional Mental Health and Addictions Studies, I am a licensed intern with the State of Oregon, and a nationally certified counselor. I have worked in community counseling, corrections and residential treatment. I specialize working with those individuals struggling with complex issues related to trauma, abuse and addictions. I provide a safe, supported and healing therapeutic setting for adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma, abuse or are challenged by their life experiences and have found themselves ready to begin the process of gaining insight, understanding, and skills to safely navigate those experiences. These experiences can lead to a variety of issues that can have profound affects on our mind and body. It also may impact our daily functioning, our relationships, and our professional experiences. The journey through change begins from within, and together we can navigate that journey safely and compassionately.
