My Approach
I use evidence-based approaches and tailor them to the client's needs. With young children who have experienced trauma, I use the Child Parent Psychotherapy approach to address the parent-child relationship, increase attachment, and help children make sense of trauma. With individuals, couples or families, I use Solution-Focused therapy and the Family Systems approach, which helps clients develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that play out in their relationships and work to change the negative patterns they may have learned in how they relate to others.
My Background
I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. I have received additional training in Child Parent Psychotherapy and Solution Focused therapy. I am also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and provide parent coaching and parenting classes using the Positive Disciplilne method.
