My Ideal Client

It is an honor beyond words to witness another finding and developing their own voice and reclaiming their passion and their power.

My Approach to Helping

I instill my work with mindful presence and a commitment to full authenticity. With mindfulness and compassion I seek to create a safe space to hold and engage whatever shows up. As my client you are invited to fill the space and time, with my full attention on you. Besides your own immediate goals, my goal for you is for you to find your own voice, to find your trustworthy internal compass, and to invite your deeper self into revealing your true wholeness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am a Certified Master Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), I was a Licensed Practitioner and ministerial student within the non-denominational Spiritual Living Centers. All of this education experience was earned while also holding a professional role in the corporate world for almost 30 years. All of my previous experience has melded into the ‘toolbelt’ I have today. I have an innate understanding of how the corporate model can affect individuals, as well as an awareness and commitment to the spiritual dimension of our human experience.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Attachment Theory External link

Through the study of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) we have a great new understanding of the restorability of wholeness where emotional damage was done from unresponsive, unconscious, or even violent caretakers. Our work is in the relationship, as the 'interpersonal' actually enables a new neurologic wiring as well as new realizations of worthiness and value.

  • Depth Therapy External link

A Depth psychological approach means, in part, that the soul (psyche) of the individual is expected to BE a major player in our work together. This is in addition to the rational mind or 'ego', and 'the soul's voice' is going to be expressing its greatest desire for this individual. We must listen to subtle, unconscious communications as we invite in the healing impulse of psyche.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Spirituality External link

Psychotherapy is by definition care of the soul (psyche+therapy). You are already whole and our journey in this life is to regain the Life, the Passion, the truth of our Being... often by examining the layers of beliefs and traumas that are clouding our access to our truest Self.

  • Loss or Grief External link

Most of us know that there are expected aspects of grief and loss. What we often don't realize is that OUR WAY of grieving is just that, it is OUR way. We cannot compare to find a 'right way'. We do need permission to allow the experience to unfold. And then we watch, in time, as Intensity, Duration, and Frequency of the pain changes. The loss is forever. The quality of our sadness changes.

  • PTSD External link

Trauma -- beyond the label of only PTSD, but in all of its forms and ways of being experienced -- needs to be listened to in order to be released or reconciled and integrated.

  • Anxiety External link

Introducing the ability to access a calmer space which teaches the brain and the individual that it is possible FOR THEM! Once an individual can begin to notice the content of calm surrounding and the body-content of anxiety, they can begin to find hope and then true success to returning to a calmer, centered state.

  • Depression External link

Many shades. Many versions of depression.
