My Approach to Helping

What I Help With Sexuality, Embodiment, and Relationship Issues: Libido, arousal, desire, orgasm, and other function issues Relationship to erotic and sexual pleasure, and pleasure in general Sexual pain Compulsive or out-of-control sexual behavior Gender-affirming transition needs and care Navigating polyamory and nonmonogamy Kink, BDSM, and fetish exploration Communication and intimacy challenges Sexual identity and orientation questions Asexuality, aromanticism, repulsion, and obligation Deconstructing compulsory sexuality Healing from sexual and gender-based trauma I also bring specialized experience working with: Sex workers and folks in the sex industry Survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence Body Work & Liberation: I support clients in healing their relationships with food, movement, body image, and embodiment—and how these experiences intersect with sexuality and self-worth. I offer this work from a counter-cultural and anti-diet approach.

Why I Became a Therapist

Since my early 20s, I’ve moved through many phases of my own sexuality — including coming out as queer, exploring polyamory and ethical nonmonogamy, and working as a stripper for seven years — all of which have been formative and meaningful to who I am. These experiences, along with my own healing journey, brought me to the field of social work and eventually to private practice, where I offer sex therapy that’s sensitive, competent, and deeply informed by lived experience. Therapy and body image work have been close to me for many, many years. I’m a recovering perfectionist, a recovering dieter and compulsive exerciser, and I know the pain and grief that can come with rebuilding trust with your body. I’m deeply familiar with anxiety, with learning what no and yes feel like in my body, with the effort it can take to lean into uncertainty, and with the quiet labor of learning to rest.
