I'm a loud laugher; compassionate & candid in equal measure; slightly awkward; prone to over-caffeinate, and so grateful to do this work.

My Ideal Client

Avoidant? Anxious and overthinking? Exhausted mentally, physically? Just flat-out numb inside? 60-hour work weeks, Netflix binges, and 'just one more glass' may provide a temporary escape, but those responses often emerge as self-protective reactions to hard things and the stories we carry and create to endure them -- and which you are absolutely capable of transforming into something far more empowering and productive than quietly screaming inside, hoping 2021 will be better. I promise you.

My Background and Approach

I utilize an integrated strengths-based in partnering with clients to better understand what may be underneath their anxiety and lack of joyfulness; why they're drinking differently; how they determine their personal values and varied responsibilities; how that impacts making meaning of events, emotions, and challenges in their lives; and ultimately, how this contributes to the quality of their overall well-being. I know that it is possible to change the unhelpful bits within the narrative of one's backstory and craft a more intentional way of being in this world, to wholly engage in life with a sense of genuine connection. I love collaborating with clients and their unique perspectives to help create a consistent foundation they can return to as they move through the therapeutic process towards the goals they have chosen. Those striving to live with a sense of purpose and peace will find success in working with me.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I changed careers over 20 years ago to become a therapist and it has been more challenging and fabulous than I ever could have imagined. I've served in multiple roles - clinical director, trainer, presenter, advocate, educator - on the impacts of trauma and what being part of a genuinely trauma-responsive system consists of, both clinically and administratively. But nothing is as powerful and humbling to me as the transformative shifts and changes that are able to evolve over the course of a one-on-one therapeutic relationship. I am still so very honored I get to do this work.
