My Ideal Client

Whether you are seeking support for feelings of overwhelm, disconnection from self and others, or working to make sense of your unique story and traumas, there is hope! Many who make their way to my office experienced childhood emotional neglect or abuse or are wrestling with the impact religion may have had on the development of their sexual expression and identity or sense of self. I partner with you as we look inward, gently creating space for compassion and care towards each part of you.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), a trauma-informed practice meant to heal wounded parts and reconnect you with your True Self. Through the IFS lens, we will get curious about strategies your system learned and adapted to navigate the complexities of life. The goal of IFS is to build a compassionate connection to the parts of you that work so hard to protect, care for, and soothe you. I believe in therapy tailored to your unique system and needs, and see our relationship, and your sense of safety and trust as essential.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe you are the expert in your life and have within yourself the innate wisdom and capacity to heal. I see symptoms as information and data that tells a story, rather then pathology or brokenness. As a neurodiverse individual and therapist, I prioritize the sensory needs and preferences of my clients, with multiple lighting, smell, seating, and tactile options available to those who attend in-person sessions.

My background working as a chaplain in university and high school settings equips me with a deep understanding of the impact that high-demand religions can have on identity development and sexuality, as well as mental health. I am passionate about supporting clients who are recovering from religious harm or processing life after religion as well as those who experience conflict between spirituality and sexuality or other core values.
