My Ideal Client

I work with and enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, and children. The populations I frequently work with are people of color, marginalized people, those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, loss of a job, or loss of a relationship, and post partum mothers. The issues my clients typically face and experience are trauma, loss, and grief.

My Background

I hold a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, California. My focus was in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also hold a bachelors degree in Anthropology from San Diego State University in San Diego, California with a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies. I have completed The following trainings: Gottman Method for Couples Therapy levels 1 and 2, Portland State University’s Post Graduate Training Certificate in Adoptive & Foster Family Therapy, and EMDR. I also have additional experience and past training working with victims of sexual assault, children’s bereavement and grief, and crisis work.

My Values as a Therapist

I utilize an integrative approach and combine different therapeutic tools to fit the needs of the individual client, family, or couple. I believe in meeting clients where they are comfortable and in using evidence-based practice in my work with clients. I work very hard to make therapy affordable, approachable, and inclusive.
