My Approach

I am passionate about supporting clients in moving towards greater self-acceptance. This often looks like restructuring how we relate to our experiences, emotions, body, and those around us. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and have years of experience supporting groups and individuals move towards greater ease with eating and relating to the body. I also practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, by which we can work to clarify values, move towards greater mindfulness, and increase psychological flexibility.

My Background

I completed my masters in counseling psychology from Lewis & Clark where I now serve as an adjunct faculty in their Eating Disorder Certificate Program. For the past four years, I had the privilege of providing eating disorder counseling to LGBTQ+ clients in Durham, North Carolina as part of the Radical Healing collective and am thrilled to now be back home in Portland. I have extensive experience providing group and individual therapy, conducting research, teaching and training, and organizing advocacy efforts among professionals in the name of body liberation and the Health at Every Size(R) movement. Mindfulness, meditation, and spirituality are important foundations in my personal and professional life and I am happy to incorporate them in our work together. *** June 2020 - working off a substantial waiting list for new telehealth clients.
